Characteristics of CRRKey social and economic project goals Traffic relief from heavy and transit transport in Moscow, the Moscow Region. Rationalization of payload distribution structure, creation of infrastructure conditions to satisfy demand for services, rendered by logistics centers in the Moscow Region, through the development of cross transport connections as well as heavy transport ‘interception’ at the approach to Moscow with the following load re-sorting and shipping in small lots to regions. Highway components of international transportation corridors: №2 (London-Berlin-Warsaw-Minsk-Moscow-Nizhny Novgorod), №9 (Helsinki-St. Petersburg-Moscow-Kiev-South eastern Europe), ITC ‘North-South’ and ITC ‘Helsinki-Moscow-Nizhny Novgorod’, crossing the Moscow Region. Conditions for integrated development of infrastructure and territories of Moscow, the Moscow, Tver, Yaroslav, Vladimir, Ryazan, Kaluga, Tula, Smolensk Regions resulted from the CRR construction. Intensification of social, economic, interregional and international relations, stimulation of social and market mobility. Provision of road safety, quality improvement of services rendered to road users. Reduction of transportation costs for consignors. Reduction of environmental impact due to relief of advance sections of the Moscow Region radial roads. Execution of comprehensive programs on the Moscow Region development by means of transport infrastructure.
CRR as a key element of the Moscow Region logistics system The role of CRR as a key element of the Moscow Region logistics system causes the construction of large multifunctional centers for transportation and logistics. Multifunctional centers for transportation and logistics close to CRR are situated in transport network nodes at the intersection of main lines of communications, providing complex transportation-expedition and logistics services, maximum synergistic effect based on logistical coordination and accommodation of financial interests of the transportation and logistics process participants, and integration of material, information, service and fiscal flows. Aims of logistics development: Creation of the largest multimode centers for transportation and logistics in order to redirect transitional international traffic flows to Russian transport corridors. |
